Hell’s Gate is one of the most active geothermal areas in Rotorua. You can find hot springs, coloured pools, bubbling mud and steaming cliffs over an area of 50 acres. It is also home to the Tikitere Mud Volcano, the largest in the country and the Kakahi Falls – the largest hot waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere.
