- White mud volcano
This mud volcano, while not the largest at 7 meters wide and 2 meters high, is undoubtedly the most visually stunning in the country. Its near-perfect circular shape and striking white color lend it a magical quality, setting it apart from others. Within its crater, bubbling mud boils.
The white color is primarily due to the high concentration of dissolved minerals, which precipitate out of the mud as it dries. These minerals, often including kaolinite clay, are naturally white and create the characteristic pale appearance of the mud flow.
