This miniature mud cone and elongated “mud tongue” has emerged as a distinct feature on the periphery of a much larger mud volcano. Its cracked surface is induced by shifts in heat, gas pressure and fluids. The yellowish deposits are indicative of sulphur precipitation from hydrothermal fluids.
