Pukaki Lagoon

Pukaki Lagoon (Te Pūkaki Tapu-o-Poutukeka) is an explosion crater volcano located in the suburb of Mangere, Auckland. It is surrounded by a 600 meter wide tuff ring. It is one of the best preserved volcanoes in the Auckland Volcanic Field. The crater was breached becoming a tidal lagoon, but has now been reclaimed and converted into farmland.
