Mount Saint John (Te Kopuke) is a scoria cone reaching 126m high. The volcano last erupted approximately 75,000 years ago. The crater is bowl shaped and features a small pond. Mount Saint John is the source of Meola Reef - a long reef extending out into the Waitemata Harbour.
