The Turquoise Blue Grotto Sea Cave

 

We were hiking along a remote stretch of the coast when I spotted some interesting rocks down by the shore. Getting down there was a mission, though. It took a lot of time and a serious scramble to reach the bottom. Once we finally made it, we started exploring both ends of the small, rocky beach.

At the northern end, a friend noticed a tiny opening in the rock face. It was just wide enough to squeeze through. We pushed our way inside and it opened up into a stunning hidden cave. Right in the middle was a pool of almost impossibly turquoise water filled with smooth, rounded stones. The water was crystal clear, like a piece of glass tucked away in the dark.
