Golden Orb Tar Pit

This is one of most peculiar phenomenon we’ve come across on our adventures. Hidden within a geothermal landscape lies a remarkable geological phenomenon: an active pit exuding a tar-like substance. This viscous material, heated and made fluid rises to the surface where it forms into large, glossy and rounded shapes varying in size from that of rugby balls to large beach balls. This natural wonder truly comes alive at dawn. As the sun breaches the horizon, the largest and most perfectly spherical formations coated in a slick, reflective oil, capture the early morning light, transforming them into glowing orbs. The low-angled light ignites each with a warm, golden radiance, creating a breathtaking spectacle.

It’s possible that the substance is a type of geothermal residue, formed by the interaction of hot water and minerals with organic matter.
