Emerald Azure Lake

 

Tucked away in native forest of New Zealand’s North Island lies an incredible spring and pool. The water holds a vivid, almost unnatural turquoise hue from pale aqua near the edges to a deeper teal in the center. It has an exceptional clarity.

This location is protected and access to the the water’s edge is not possible. So we had to improvise and use a long selfie stick and zoom lens on the camera to get these images.
