Karymsky is the most active stratovolcano of Kamchatka’s eastern volcanic zone. It is located on the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia and it remains one of the world’s volcanoes with persistent activity. Much of its cone is surrounded by lava flows.

Karymsky’s Eruptive History
| 2025 | Karymsky explosions ceased; moderate steam-gas activity and yellow alert continue. Karymsky produced significant ash explosions reaching 3.5 km in May and August 2025, triggering an Orange alert. Activity declined by September, shifting to minor steam emissions and lowering the alert level to Yellow. |
| 2023 | Jan 2023: The Aviation Color Code for Karymsky has been downgraded to Green |
