Crossing the stark volcanic terrain of Tongariro National Park
During a wonderful summer’s day, a group of five of us headed down to the Tongariro National Park to hike the famous (and hugely popular) Tongariro Crossing. The Crossing is a relatively easy 19.4km journey across explosion craters, steaming vents, turquoise lakes and regenerating forest.
